DESCRIPCION
El objetivo principal de este curso es explorar las relaciones y conexiones posibles que se establecen entre el cuerpo en movimiento y un espacio arquitectónico específico, fuera del espacio tradicional teatral. Nociones como perspectiva, dinámica, composición, imagen digital y espectador serán el hilo conductor de esta propuesta. El taller, impartido por la coreógrafa mallorquina Avatâra Ayuso (afincada en Londres) tendrá lugar en C’an Monroig, una casa mallorquina del s.XVII del barrio judío de Inca. El primer día del curso se contará también con la presencia de la arquitecta y bailarina Eugenia Morales que llevará a cabo una introducción teórica de conceptos básicos sobre la relación entre cuerpo y espacio.

DESTINADO A
Bailarines, coreógrafos, arquitectos y artistas visuales que quieran explorar estas nociones y colaborar con artistas de otras disciplinas.

Carmen Piqueras (ES/D) Born in Murcia (Spain), Carmen Piqueras graduated at the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza with Jose Antonio Robles. In 1998 she obtained a scholarship award in the Castellon Dance Competition and in 2000 she was awarded with the Séneca Foundation Prize to continue her professional ballet training at Carmina Ocaña Ballet School (Madrid). Carmen Piquera’s main ballet styles are Bournonville and Balanchine’s techniques, of which she has done practical demonstrations at the Real Conservatorio de Danza de Madrid coached by Elna Matamoros.  Since 2001 she has been dancing in several leading dance companies such as the European Ballet (London), Victor Ullate Company (Madrid), Zürcher Ballett (Zurich), English National Ballet (London) and since 2006 with theDresden SemperOper Ballett, directed by Aaron S. Watkin, where she currently works as a dancer. During her professional dance career she has had the opportunity to work with different leading choreographers and ballet masters (such as David Howard, Cinthya Harvey, Frank Andersen and Thomas Ludand, among others) Carmen has been working as a freelance ballet teacher since 2003, leading classes under the frame of didActance-Educational Dance Group and in different ballet schools in New Zealand and Spain. Since 2008 she is rehearsal director and ballet master of Avatâra Ayuso Dance Company.

Interdisciplinary Workshop for professional and advanced dancers Getting back into shape is the focus of Tanzplan Dresden’s fourth Summer Workshop! Do you want to get trim once again after a well-earned summer break? This two-week course programme offers a wide range of training at various levels in contemporary and classical dance, as well as courses in improvisation. The classes take place in studios at the Palucca Schule and are taught by dance teachers with international reputation. Most instruction is in small groups to ensure that participants receive intensive individual attention.

El objetivo principal de este curso es preparar al bailarín de cualquier estilo para enfrentarse al tipo de ejercicio físico requerido en el trabajo contemporáneo en pareja. Cada día—y tras un calentamiento en el que se potenciarán los principios de coordinación y musicalidad básicos de la danza contemporánea— se llevarán a cabo distintos ejercicios en pareja (con cargas, saltos, contrapeso y manipulaciones). Dúos creados por los propios participantes y otros coreografiados de antemano por Avatâra Ayuso, servirán para desarrollar la creatividad del bailarín y ampliar el repertorio de movimientos en este campo. Para tomar parte en el taller son necesarios conocimientos previos de danza de cualquier estilo.

L’objectiu del taller és desenvolupar eines coreogràfiques bàsiques, aplicables a tots els estils de la dansa. Nocions sobre variacions espacials i temporals bàsiques seran els punts de partida.
Hi poden participar intèrprets de qualsevol disciplina amb coneixements previs de dansa, presentant un breu currículum, carta de motivació i sol·licitud, adreçada a l’Ajuntament de Palma. És indispensable estar disponible totes les dades per poder-hi participar.

IMPROWINTER 010 TANZPLAN DRESDEN (8-12 FEBRUARY 2010)

For the fourth time Tanzplan Dresden hosts a winter workshop for dancers, dance students, dance teachers, choreographers, performers, musicians, performing artists, filmmakers, new media artists and writers. The ImproWinter 010, once again focuses on all aspects of improvisation. On offer will be 10 courses such as dance and video, dance and text, dance and music or dance and composition. Tanzplan Dresden as invited international teachers for sharing their knowledge with professional and advanced dancers as well as artists from other genres. A colourful programme of supporting events will be on offer. A final public presentation will complete the week. The weeklong workshop will take place at the campus of Palucca Schule Dresden Campus.

Superando la concepción tradicional de filmar la danza (cámara fija en frente de la acción), el taller pretende que los participantes y la cámara creen una pieza de video-danza, en base a los principios coreográficos de continuidad temporal, estructura dinámica de la acción y dramaturgia. El taller será dirigido por una coreógrafa, un video artista y un dramaturgo que se encargarán de establecer el marco teórico y práctico para la puesta en práctica de estas ideas, analizando trabajos sobre la relación entre movimiento corporal y su captación a través del video y realizando ejercicios físicos con los que comprender esta interacción . El objetivo es realizar (en grupos) pequeñas piezas en las que se exploren estas y otras nociones. El taller se clausurará con una muestra final del trabajo de los participantes abierta al público.

WORKSHOP I: “BASIC TECHNIQUES FOR DANCE COMPOSITION”
Aim: The aim of this workshop is to give the participant some of the basic tools to manipulate a dance phrase and generate choreographic material, a departure point for those interested in developing their creativity in the dance field. After the warm up (contemporary technique), a movement sequence will be taught as a base for further development (mainly time and space alterations). Although the phrase will be common, the compositional games will fully depend on the interpretation and interests of each participant.
Participants: dancers of all ages, styles and levels.

WORKSHOP II: "INTRODUCTION TO CHOREOGRAPHY"
Aim: What is the starting point to create movement material? What does a choreographer need to develop their skills? This workshop aims to explore the art of choreography (independently of the style: ballet, hip hop,
contemporary dance etc…) understood as the creation of a performance with all its stage elements and give some basic tools to familiarize participants with the choreographic process, all this in a relaxed atmosphere open
to deliberation.
Participants: teachers and dancers with special interest in the subject.
**This workshop is mainly theoretical: a handout will be given and some examples of choreography will be projected as elements of analysis.
